Nakon uspeha modela 290 Imperial, Bösendorfer je započeo proizvodnju ovog polu-koncertnog grandpiana. Ovaj model je, naravno, u potpunosti izrađen u tradiciji Bösendorfer-a.

The Semi Concert Grand – Unique sound

It immediately had a remarkable success as aperformance instrument; a success that is well founded. Its design and size allowa wealth of tonal colours all the way from sensitive pianissimo to powerful fortissimo.It also benefits from extra keys in the bass: four keys to subcontra F.

Extended bass range to bottom F

These additional bass strings expand the tonal range and create additional,harmonic resonances throughout the whole instrument, opening up a unique, almost orchestral sound spectrum. This helps explain the popularity of themodel 225 as the best chamber music and solo instrument in its class. This semiconcert grand does not necessarily require a stage, as it can also soundwonderful in your home.

From this idea Bösendorfer created something special: the Conservatory Series grand pianos. To offer young talents, conservatories and music schools a more economical option, we have simplified two of our grand pianos, but only in non-critical areas, that do not affect the sound.

The instruments of this series are available in the sizes 214 and 200 (185 and 170 only available in USA). Superb sound and construction combined with moderate prices. The owner of a grand piano of the Conservatory Series can enjoy an instrument that meets all the necessary requirements for a successful career.

This model is available in Ebony Satin and is based on our 200 model.
