The Selmer SA80II is an incredibly impressive saxophone which certainly fulfills all my expectations in any setting. The keys are in all the right places ( although some people complain about the layout it worked for me so it helps to try it out ) and once set up the action was superb. Tone wise, the SA80II is fairly resistant ( this is very apparent when compared to the any Yamaha or Yanagisawa sax ) but it has a great dark tone which is pleasingly versatile meaning this horn could be used in a variety of ensembles. In summary Selmer have created an instrument that allows the player to be in control of their music and for me this is one of the best saxes out there!
